There is nothing quite like the taste of a good cheeseburger. One thing that I enjoy doing is taking a great tasting meal and incorporating it into another delicious dish. Cheeseburger casserole is excellent at doing just that. It has the great taste of a casserole while not forsaking the wonderful flavors of that all-time classic American cheeseburger.

There are a number of ingredient variations that can be used in the making of this casserole dish. One popular choice is elbow macaroni. However, for this recipe I chose to use cavatappi macaroni. Its spiral shape gives the cheeseburger casserole a wonderful texture when infused with all the flavorful spices and ingredients. If you have not yet tried cavatappi macaroni noodles in a casserole dish, then I would highly recommend them to you.

This recipe keeps the American cheeseburger theme alive with ingredients such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, onion, and of course, ground beef. When these flavors come together along with a few others we will be adding, you and your family will find this to be a new mealtime favorite! So, if you are ready to be the hero in the kitchen, let’s gather our ingredients…
